My favorite thing about this class was that you can learn at your own pace and you can do the blogs on any topic from the chapter that interest you a least for one question. I liked that the class was very easy to understand and all the directions were clear. My least favorite thing about the class was that the blogs have to be twelve hours apart because students are busy and always don’t have time to do 3 blogs twelve hours apart or they will do the blogs ahead of time and forget to post them. I think a way to fix this is just make one blog due before Wednesday so then people can still be accountable for posting blogs at a reasonable time but have a little more flexibility with time. I also think there should only be two group projects and one solo project because being a online class it is hard to work in groups and get everyone together at the same time.
I also really enjoyed being able to learn at my own pace, and how this class was very easy to follow and understand. When I first signed up for this class I was not sure how an online class worked, since this one is my first one that I have taken, and I was afraid I was not going to be able to understand everything on how the class itself worked, but I absolutely loved how simple this class was to take on. I also agree with you completely on that the blogs should not have to be 12 hours apart, I mean I know for me that sometimes I would just completely forget that I had not done a blog, and it was Friday and I was not going to be able to get my full credit because each one had to be 12 hours apart. I really like the solutions you came up with!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you! Blogging was actually very fun. I enjoyed being able to communicate with others this way. I also liked being able to learn things at my own pace. One important thing about taking an online class is to discipline yourself to finish each task by the deadline and make sure all the readings have been read and understood. The professor always made everything clear and understandable. She also provided many other sources so that we understand each concept which made things much easier. I also feel the same way you do about group projects. I think personally most people in the class would have preferred working alone instead of in groups.
